Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Pith, an app made by FBT Design Limited. By using the app, you're agreeing to them. They sit alongside Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which also applies to your use of Pith.

Your account

You need an account to use Pith, and you're responsible for keeping your login details to yourself. You must be old enough to buy alcohol where you live in order to use the app.

Free and Pro

Writing recipes in by hand is free, with no limit. Your first five automatic imports (reading a recipe from a link or a photo) and your first five generated drink images are free too.

Pith Pro adds unlimited automatic imports and up to 30 generated drink images a month. It costs £24.99 a year, or the equivalent shown in the App Store where you live, and is billed annually.

The 30-a-month image limit applies to Pro too. It's a fair-use limit that keeps the service sustainable.

Subscriptions

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase.
• Pith Pro renews automatically each year unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before that.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone's Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Deleting your Pith account doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it with Apple first.

Your recipes

The recipes you save stay yours. We store and process them only to run the app for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. You're responsible for making sure you have the right to save the content you import.

Imported content and accuracy

Pith reads recipes and generates drink images automatically, and automated reading gets things wrong sometimes: a measure misread, an ingredient dropped. Check anything you import before you rely on it, particularly where allergens are concerned. Generated images are illustrations, not photographs of the real drink. Recipes are provided as-is.

Acceptable use

Don't use Pith to break the law, to import content you have no right to, or to overload the service with automated requests. We can suspend accounts that do.

Drinking responsibly

Pith is for people of legal drinking age. Nothing in the app is medical or nutritional advice. Please drink responsibly, and never drink and drive.

Availability

We work to keep Pith running, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. We may change or discontinue features over time. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
