Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 November 2026
Pith is made by FBT Design Limited, which is the data controller for the personal information described here. This policy explains what the app collects, why, who helps us process it, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and a securely hashed password, so you can sign in and reach your recipes from more than one device.
- Your recipes. The recipes you save, with their ingredients, measures, notes and images.
- Content you import. When you share a link or a photo to Pith, we fetch that page or upload that image so it can be read and turned into a recipe.
- Purchases. If you subscribe to Pith Pro, we receive the status of your subscription. Payment is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.
- Diagnostics. Crash reports and performance data that help us find and fix bugs.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers to run Pith. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and none of them may use your data for their own purposes.
- Google Gemini reads the links and photos you import, turns them into recipes, and generates drink images.
- RevenueCat manages Pith Pro subscriptions.
- Sentry collects crash reports and diagnostics.
- Hosting and storage providers run our servers, database and image storage.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't post anything anywhere on your behalf.
Where it's stored
Some of the providers above may process your data outside the UK and EU. Where they do, it's covered by appropriate data protection safeguards. Your recipes are also cached on your own device so the app works offline.
Deleting your data
You can delete any recipe at any time from the app. To delete your account, open Profile in the app and choose "Delete your account". This permanently removes your account, your recipes and their images, and your subscription record. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a Pith Pro subscription; cancel that through Apple.
Your rights
If you're in the UK or EU, you have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to object to how we use it. Write to us at the address below and we'll respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in the UK that's the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
Pith is for people of legal drinking age and isn't directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date above.
